Who We Are
Mystic Candles makes beautiful natural candles for ceremony and sacred space.
Our candles are manufactured in micro batches. Each candle is lovingly handcrafted with intention at the organic MC farmstead just outside of Swellendam, where we operate fully off grid. Wherever possible, we use organic, sustainably harvested produce – with many of the botanicals grown right here, by us.
We are proudly woman-owned and operated.
Our candles are paraffin and heavy metals free. Our exclusive in-house wax blend consists of soy wax, unbleached beeswax and organic shea butter.
Our scented candles are either mildly scented with completely natural plant oils and resins, or with our imported paraben-free, phthalate-free and silicone-free fragrance range blended by expert perfumers.

Conscious Living
We believe that spirituality – regardless of religion – is key to experiencing a fulfilling and happy life. Many modern studies have shown that people tend to be more resilient, optimistic and satisfied with our lives when we have some form of spirituality to lean on. It is in knowing that we are connected to something greater than ourselves, whatever that something might be.
Nature-based spirituality is about connecting to the Earth around us – our ‘Mother Ship’ in the vast Universal sea. And using the natural cycles and rhythms of our planet to guide our inner work, growth, and to offer opportunities for bringing ceremony into our lives. Living in tune with the natural cycles of the seasons, and the equinoxes and solstices we observe in the skies.
